Our majors and minors have gone on to successful careers working for a variety of non-profit and governmental organizations, including the Red Cross, the Fulbright Program, the U.S. Consulate in Düsseldorf, International Student and Scholar Services at the University of Illinois, and Teach for America, among others. Knowledge of German or another Germanic language demonstrates cultural fluency, the ability to concentrate and think critically and logically, and the capacity to think in broader linguistic and cultural frameworks.
