I am Basil Obiora Agu from Nigeria. I am a PhD student in German Studies here at the UIUC. This is my second year in the United States but my third year in the program, having started remotely from my country during the global lockdown occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic. My research interests cut across the areas of Contemporary German Studies, Postcolonial Studies, Comparative Literature, and Memory Studies. Having just concluded my coursework, I am currently preparing for my prelim exams.
