Participants in the Program are provided with the same health benefits that are available to Austrian students, i.e. medical, optical, dental, and prescription drug expenses. Medical care is readily available and easily managed with no out-of-pocket expenses for most claims. The Austrian ÖKG heatlh insurance plan for students covers on- and off-campus activities. Program fees include the cost for this insurance, which begins shortly after arrival in September for academic-year and fall-semester participants and in February for spring-semester students.

Students are also automatically enrolled in the University's Gallagher International Travel Insurance Plan for students abroad.  More information available here.
